I have made over 50 documentary films of short and medium duration. Most of these films were created in collaboration with local communities and civil society organizations. They address a range of issues, from migration and health to livelihood and education. The purpose of the films was to critique the service delivery of government schemes or to advocate for policy change. Some of the films also highlighted the impacts of projects run by civil society organizations.
1/ A Bitter Struggle

This documentary brings forth the nuances of the movement against the exploitation of sugarcane harvesting workers in South Gujarat. The film sheds light on the conditions that worked to generate a momentum among the sugarcane harvesters to demand their rights and entitlements from various stakeholders. Resulting which the sugar cooperative factories responded to the workers and raised the wages - a small victory in the larger struggle of the harvesters for their rights and entitlements.

residents of Shekhar Nagar, Indore. More than 3,000 people were rendered homeless. The combat between the civic administration and a waste picker community's right to housing and livelihood continues today in the form of a long-drawn legal battle, as the displaced adjusts to the new houses 16 km away on the fringes of the city lacking all basic facilities. Smart City Blues, questions the foundation of Smart City Mission and how it affects the plight of the poor and marginalized.
